BlackBerry 8980 Atlas Being Tested on China Mobile

There had been reports that the BlackBerry 'Atlas' would eventually go to Asian markets. It now seems that the 8980 will be hitting China Mobile and only on an EDGE network.
We aren't sure why the 8980 will only be an EDGE device or if it will even be Evolved-EDGE. It also seems as though this device will never see OS 6. Although, it is nice to see that the Chinese will receive a BlackBerry with a trackpad, and not the terribly stripped down 8910 with trackball they received earlier this year.
If you are on China Mobile, are you looking forward to this phone? We had originally posted on the specs of the Atlas some time ago. Here they are again:
